CANADA - Day 33 - It's Niagara Day!

Just two hours by train or coach from Toronto, Niagara Falls is somewhere you either love or hate. It is amazing but incredibly touristy and on a day like today - The Labour Day holiday it's incredibly busy.  I think you have to accept it for what it is. A natural spectacle on this scale that is close to large centres of population is always going to be a tourist magnet and will therefore attract everything that is good and bad about modern tourism.

This is the third time that I have visited the Falls. I've done the boat trip into the "mist". I've done the walking behind the falls, cable car across the rapids and the getting extremely wet on the American side - the drenching I remember is much better on the American side. So there really is only one thing left - the helicopter. Words cannot describe the experience so no more writing just some photos.

And a couple from ground level
